Exploring Connection between Franz Schubert and Alban Berg

In January 2023 at Severance Music Center and at Carnegie Hall the Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst presented  a unique program with the three movements of Alban Berg’s „Lyric Suite“ alternated with two movements of Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 in B Minor D 759 („Unfinished“). In the second part of the concerts Schubert’s Mess in E flat major, D 950 was performed.
